NAMI is the National Alliance on Mental Illness, the nation’s largest grassroots mental health organization dedicated to building better lives for the millions of Americans affected by mental illness. NAMI advocates for access to services, treatment, supports and research and is steadfast in its commitment to raise awareness and build a community for hope for all of those in need.
The Colorado Springs Chapter of NAMI hosts several support groups on various topics:
Connection Recovery Group

Family Support Group
· Tuesdays at 7:00 to 8:30 pm at First United Methodist Church
NAMI Teleconference Family Support Group Service
The goal of the teleconference is to offer another channel for family members to get family-to-family support. The advantages of the teleconference support group are convenience, low cost, and making it easier for folks in communities not in close proximity to a physical NAMI support group location to attend meetings.

Visions Support Group
For parents who have school-age children with mental illness

DBSA Colorado Springs is an award-winning, all volunteer, independent affiliate of the Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance (DBSA), the leading patient-directed national organization focusing on the most prevalent mental illnesses – depression and bipolar disorder. We offer a number of outstanding programs and services, including ten free weekly self-help support groups for people with mood disorders, and their family and friends.
